In what way is the South unique from other places you've lived or traveled?

Life is more laid-back and easy-going. You can drive down a road, wave at every car that goes by and 9 out of 10 people will wave back - it's that friendly!

What outdoor activity do you enjoy doing most with your kids?

We enjoy playing at the park, riding bikes, fishing and chasing each other around the yard!

What's a great destination for a family vacation in the South?

Maybe I'm a little partial (okay, so maybe ALOT!) but I'd have to say Lynchburg! There is a lot of great history to this area and it's absolutely a beautiful, peaceful place!

What's your go-to snack for your kids?

Fresh fruit and veggies is our favorite but during certain times of the year (like winter!), it is difficult to get our hands on anything that is good. I also make homemade mix bags of goodies such as chex mix with salt-free pretzels, marshmallows, m&m's, goldfish, etc. They never know what will be in there!
