The Best Part About Having Multiples
Everything....obviously!! My husband and I are the luckiest parents in the world to have had twins! The first thing that comes to mind is they get to be with their very best friend 24/7. What child wouldn't want that? We don't have to entertain as much because they entertain each other, which leaves more time for us. Oh, and most importantly is the fact that we never had to share one baby or now toddler. We always have one each or both. God is so very good! Life couldn't be better!
The Hardest Part About Having Multiples
At first it was the sleep deprivation. Getting very little sleep takes a toll on your body, but soon enough they start sleeping through the night. Then you wish you could go back to those days no matter how hard they were to have one last snuggle with the baby they used to be. I still to this day have guilt over whether or not I spread my mommy time equally, so that is hard. My son came home from the hospital first, so I experienced a singleton baby for a week. Yes, of course it was easier. There are times that my husband and I would look at each after my daughter came home and knew what each other was thinking. One baby is so much easier than two. I can honestly say hands down I would not want it any other way. God chose me to be mommy to these miracles. That is one thing I will never take for granted. I am more than blessed!
