It's not Impossible to Save, Give and Live!

What advice would you give to a mom who wants to start couponing?

How much do you save yearly using coupons?

What is the best resource you've found for finding coupons?

What's your best budget tip for shopping for back-to-school necessities like school supplies, backpacks, uniforms, labels and lunchboxes? Include a link to a photo if you have one!

Mary

Honestly, I do school shopping all year round. But truly the deals are best right now. Check out the weekly ad deals and don't think you have to buy everything at once. If you are patient and a little organized, you can get some items for free or close to it taking advantage of sale, store promotion and/or coupon each week. Also, don't forget that most deals are also available online and you can drop your price even more by shopping via a rebates site first (like ebates or befrugal.com)

What's a great school lunch box meal your kids love? Include a link to a photo if you have one!

Mary

One of my kids fave lunches is frozen Gogurt tubes and soft pretzels. This is especially great for school lunches. The Gogurt and pretzels thaw just the right amount by lunch time. Throw in an apple and some carrots and you are set ! I can't stand making PB&J everyday, so this is a great alternative. BTW- I was able to stock up on the Gogurt this week at Target for a great price- $1.25 a box!

What are your best tips for birthday party invitations? (What to include, where to make them online, etc?)

Mary

Always check around for online promotions at sites like Cardstore, Treat, and Tiny Prints. It seems like they are always offering a discount on their products. And sometimes you can even find Freebies. For instance, for the next 3 days Folded Words (Walgreens new premium card division) is offering 10 Free cards, you will just pay shipping (around $4.99). You could make invitations with these or opt for after party Thanks Yous, all for around just $0.50 a card

What helps you stay organized? Whether it's a special coupon binder, calendar app or color-coded closet, we want to know all the little tricks and products that help keep your life organized. Please share a photo if you have one.

I would not call myself the most organized person, definitely not a type A. But there is one area that I try to keep very organized- my coupons. The way to be most effective with your coupon savings strategy has to begin with being able to find the coupons in the first place! I utilize a binder system with baseball card sleeves. I also recently started to use a file box as well. If you find the right coupons organization, that works for you- the savings are so worth it. Check out this video that describes my system and implement pieces that work for you: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=S2vbW0eDBw8

Quilts made from outgrown onesies, benches from cribs, spice jars from baby food containers... how have you re-purposed your old baby and kid items? Please share a photo if you have one.

Mary

I use baby wipes boxes for all kind of things. The usual crayons, legos and small toys. But my fave use is for grocery bag storage. I link the bags (see video in my link) together and then they pull out the top. Neat and tidy!
