What is your favorite place to find clothes for children?

Being a business owner and a Mommy, I don't have all the time in the world. I like to shop at places that are sort of a "one stop shop." My go-to places are Gap, Old Navy and Target. Their clothes for my girls (and for me!) are cute, stylish, practical and affordable. Plus, I can always toss something in my shopping cart for myself while I am shopping for them! One for you, one for me!

I also love the perks of being a Gap/Old Navy cardholder. The coupons and "cash" you get to spend are always a bonus and help the wallet a little. Target also always has great deals and coupons too. Having other items like diapers, wipes, etc there is a plus... "We need more diapers? Oh darn, looks like I will have to go to Target..."

What tips would you give to a mom who is trying to remain stylish while raising a family?

It is SO easy to get in a fashion rut when you become a mother but you don't have to! So you like to be comfortable? You don't have to sacrifice fashion for comfort, ladies!! I promise you that! Stick with what you typically wore before baby but modify if need be. Modify, modify, modify!!!

Yes, I know my blog title is "Mommy in Heels" but lets be honest...I can't chase after my 4 year old and my 4 month old in 3 in heels. Although I do still wear my heels (I can't give them up), I modify my outfits with cute flats, wedges or booties. That is one way I have modified my wardrobe after having my girls Ella and Charlotte. Those shoes are still stylish but just a tad more practical for playing with my girls.

One piece that I found to be made for a Mommy is blazers. I think they should be a staple in every woman's closet (even those that aren't a Mommy!). Blazers are so versatile. They are perfect to throw over a cute dress for date night (yes...make time for date night!), or even with a pair of skinny jeans, t-shirt and flats for pre-school pick up, play dates, or running errands. I think tossing something like a blazer on over a plain t-shirt and jeans can really re-vamp an outfit.

Also, when all else fails, add accessories. Sometimes when I can't find something to wear, I'm not satisfied with my outfit, or my wallet just won't allow me to buy a whole new outfit I check out my jewelry, buy an inexpensive piece of jewelry (hello statement necklaces!) or throw on/buy an inexpensive scarf! You will be surprised at what jewelry can do to any outfit. Scarves are just as awesome. They can change the whole look of whatever you are wearing and they can be worn so many different ways!!

Moral of my story- make things like blazers, jewelry and scarves a member of your family!

What's one beauty product you would recommend to all moms?

Just one? I don't know if I can choose just one! There are actually two that I cannot live without. That is Suave Dry Shampoo and Bare Minerals Well Rested. These two are lifesavers for me.

I don't wash my hair every day so the dry shampoo is my go-to. A few quick sprays and a comb through with my fingers and it looks perfectly refreshed. Not to mention it saves so much time in and out of the shower and it doesn't smell like your grandmother's hairspray!

Sleep is a hot commodity these days in my house. Bare Minerals Well Rested actually makes it look like I got a full night's sleep. I apply it under my eyes and any other area on my face that needs a little brightening (before foundation) and voila! I look well rested! This is one item that I have actually had people ask me how I look so rested for having two children (one being a newborn). My answer is always the same- Bare Minerals Well Rested. I swear by it and will not leave home without it!
