What's your favorite thing to do on family night?
My family runs on opposite schedules, which technically means the times when all three of us are together in the same room are few and far between. (Hubby is with the bambino all day while I'm working and then we switch off so he can start work). So this question made me feel a little crappy at first, before I remembered that it's *okay*! Our son still gets a ton of quality time with both of us individually, and when we do get time together as a family we try and make it special. Like lately, we've been riding around town and looking at all the Christmas lights.
What has surprised you most about motherhood?
I feel like everything about motherhood surprises me. Like how capable I am of taking care of another human being. Or how I'm still able to function on such a minuscule amount of sleep. Or how I mustered up the strength to go back to work once my maternity leave was up (a million times harder than giving birth, if you ask me; it's been well over a year and I'm still struggling with it). Or how much I adore this little soul, unconditionally, to the very depths of my being. How my husband is such a natural at being a father, right from day one. We've been together since my Sophomore year of college, and truth be told I never felt like we had to work much at our relationship. Uh...we kind of have to work at it now! That surprised me, too. I feel as if my entire life were leading up to this point, and I never even realized it. And no doubt the surprises will keep rolling in.
What's your favorite game to play as a family?
My son is 22 months old right now and he's a lot of fun. He's definitely big into puzzles and trains at the moment. The other day he created a new game with his dada, which they call "building a barn". Basically he dumps out every bin on his toy shelf with a great flourish and stacks each one on top of the other, and that's his barn. I think it's more fun for the little guy than it is for mama and dada, but what the heck? ;)

What's a cute or creative way to decorate the walls of a child's room? Please include a link to an image.
I took some inexpensive craft paper from Michael's in assorted colors/patterns and cut out the letters of my son's name. Then I just hung some twine and used mini clothespins to hang each letter. A cute way to personalize a child's room! Great for birthday party decorations as well. (Link below shows the bday party decor; I ended up hanging some of them in his room afterwards.)

...You do your business in the bathroom with the door open, possibly while singing "Mr. Sun"
...While watching the Sprout channel one day, you start to think that maybe Victor the train is a little bit attractive
