What advice would you give a mom who wants to be a mompreneur?

Bite the bullet and just start. Once you get going it is really easy.

I am lucky as my writing partner, Nat and I share the website and the writing so if one of us is having a bad day then at least the other can step in and do the work.

You can always hook up with another passionate mommy writer too if you want - it is great fun sharing stories and tips and it is sometimes even more inviting to readers as you have two totally different points of view on the same subject.

What tips do you have for connecting with other mom bloggers?

Have a look at other blog sites that interest you and send them a message and ask if you can swop support for each other eg you do a guest blog on their site and vice-versa - it definitely increases traffic to your own site. Also, Facebook is a great place to connect with other mom bloggers. Don't forget to let other moms know if you are enjoying their site and invite them also to read yours. We need to support each other.

How do you balance being a mom and and an entrepreneur?

I work full time plus I have two children and do my blog-site, book and also my own childrens party hire business. It is hard work - there is no doubt about it. Often I wake up in the middle of the night thinking about things. Last night I lay awake thinking about 3 different blog ideas! Crazy. Often I just get myself up, type them up on the computer and then go back to bed.
The main thing I have to tell myself is that I will always be first and foremost a mom. To me, it is those important things like ensuring I am the one to take them to school and kindy and to make sure I spend quality time with them at the weekend. That might be just sitting in our PJs on a Saturday morning reading stories or going out for dinner as a family. They love and appreciate those special times.

What's your dream gift for Mother's Day? (If it's a product or service that can be found on the web or on your blog, please include a link.)

Jacqui Lockington

There is nothing better than when your child (or rather husband on behalf of child!) gives you a voucher for a Facial for Mother's Day. Not only is it a total treat and complete pampering, but it also gives you a good couple of hours away from the home and the children to completely relax. Upgrade it to include a pedicure and you'll be a new Mom at the end of the day - better equiped to deal with your little rascals! Love Jacqui from www.ifonlytheytoldme.com
