What's one tip you'd give to moms struggling to make time for physical activity?
Find "the thing" that you enjoy doing for exercise. It may not be what everyone else is doing, or even what may give you the best results (right now)! If you aren't doing it (consistently!) then it doesn't matter how awesome it is! Once you find "the thing" that keeps you going, you'll have less trouble finding time for it, staying motivated during it and getting bored with it. Be patient! It may take you going through a few things before you find it, but I assure you, there is SOMETHING out there for everyone!
What's your best advice for moms trying to get healthy?
Choose one small thing that you can do every day, consistently, that will make a positive influence in your health. Maybe it's to drink one glass of water before every meal, or only eat 1 portion of mashed potatoes, or do a 15 minute workout. You'll gain momentum as you gain victory in those small, consistent things, which then provides the motivation to move forward with greater things!
What motivates you to stay active while raising a family?
I believe that role modeling positive behaviors and disciplines speak volumes over saying anything with my words. I want my children, husband, and others around me, to live a healthy life. If I am not doing that personally, how could I expect them to? There's no doubt that being physically active and healthy makes me a better mom, wife, and friend! I have more energy, my mental state is much more stable :), and I'm much more in tune and sharp to the things happening around me! Finally, I believe that God has asked each of us to steward our bodies in a manner that would bring honor to Him. So no matter my situation or season of life I'm in, I will give 100% and my physical health is included in that.

We love apple slices and nutella for a sweet treat in the afternoon! We also love this fluffy peanut butter dip with graham sticks or apples!
