Do you have any good tips for teaching children about photography?

I think it's best when photography is a part of their lives even before they actually learn how to properly use a camera. When they see you using a camera and photographing scenery and people, you can show them what you are doing, what you're looking at and the resulting masterpiece, your photo. Let them use their own camera to play and practice. Print their photos so they can be proud of their art.

Where is your favorite place to take photographs?

We love taking photographs at Disney World. There is so much variation in the scenery that results in infinite photo possibilities. All the rides, characters and fun activities also make for plenty of photos of our son smiling, laughing, being curious and having fun. We also take photos of our meals and snacks....YUM! After we get back from our trips, there are usually thousands of photos for us to share.

What's a creative tip for taking good photographs of children?

Get out from behind the camera as often as possible. Use a remote so you can show your face to your children and they can react to what you say and your silly faces. Also, don't be afraid to get in the photos with your kids. Too often, the person behind the camera is hardly in any photos with their kids. We try to switch who takes the photos and who is in them and we also use a remote when we all want to be in the photo together. Have fun with holidays and milestones. Pick up props that kids find interesting and will play with to include in photos. Always have your camera nearby to capture everyday fun and special moments. Investing in a waterproof camera will also make for some creative photos.
