What do you think are the greatest advantages of homeschooling?
Time. Homeschooling has given us time to slow down and work on something academically until they really get it, time to move ahead if they’ve grasped something quickly, time to add or delete the essentials and non-essentials of life, and time to develop good relationships with our kids.
What advice would you give to a mom who is considering homeschooling her child?
Pray fervently over your schooling decisions, glean from moms who’ve homeschooled, and start reading everything you can about it. The Circle of Moms list of the top homeschooling blogs is a fantastic place to start!
What's one homeschooling challenge you've faced, and what solutions did you find?
Having such a large family is an exercise in tactics. This is upper-management and sometimes, I drop those proverbial plates I’m managing all on the same day!
Developing a plan is not just a good idea, it is my survival. When life throws all of its craziness at me at once, I can revert to the plan that was put into place and find a measure of peace there. Take the time to chart a course for the day-to-day and you won’t regret it.

What is your definition of an overscheduled child?
I can't improve upon Sean's answer except to add that it is definitely an individual thing. I thrived on activity as a child but I have a few of my own who can't handle more than one or two things outside of their schoolwork.

How Do You Make Time For Exercise?
I'm a homeschooling mom of 8 with a writing and speaking schedule on the side. It's crazy, but without regular exercise I know I wouldn't cope as well. Mothering (especially little ones) can be a physically demanding job and if you want to have the energy to do what's on your plate, you need to find time to move. Start by pushing a stroller down the street!

What's a great finger food that your kids love? Please include a link.
My kids love what we call a "1-2-3 lunch"- it uses up odds and ends and everything becomes a finger food!
