What is the biggest waste of money every family could avoid?

Cable TV. EVERY family can avoid this, especially now in the summer time. My family and I were paying over $125 a month for our cable/DVR service. I got fed up with the high bill and not being able to trim it down without losing things that I just LOVED...so I got rid of the WHOLE THING! There are SO many options out there that will help ease the "burden" of not having 100+ channels at your leisure. Netflix is my #1 recommendation. You can watch past and present TV shows and TONS of movies. All streaming from your gaming system (PS3, Wii or XBOX 360) or Apple TV or your Internet-enabled TV. It was hard to cut that cable cord, but it is SO worth it! With the money we have saved in the past 5 months, we were finally able to afford a new deck off of our patio! And that is exactly where I am sitting on this gorgeous day, writing this post! So, come join me! Let's see how much money you can keep in YOUR pockets instead of lining the Cable exec's pockets with more money than they know what to do with!

A GREAT Toy that costs less than $10... I would HAVE to recommend LEGO. My daughters' enjoyed building with their LEGO Duplo table when they were younger. Now, they have "LEGO Friends"... better knows as GIRL LEGOS! My niece is 10 years old and LOVES LEGO Friends! I also have a 5 year old son whose room is pretty much FLOODED with LEGOS! His imagination SOARS as we all dig through the mounds of LEGOS to find pieces to create what our imagination tell sue to create! LEGOS are a GREAT TOY that is $10 or under. You can find many sets that are $10 and under, but there are TONS that ARE more than $10. There really is NO LIMIT to a child's imagination when they are creating with LEGOS!
