What's your favorite subject to photograph, besides your kids?
I love shooting people in general. Capturing moments of emotion is my absolute favorite subject. But I also enjoy playing around with macro photography. A macro lens isn't in my budget right now, so I use extension tubes to get those really close up shots. I usually have the best luck using them with my 50 mm lens. Flowers and bugs are my favorites for macro shots. Getting those tiny details up close can make for some very interesting images.
Which camera do you usually use?
I recently upgraded from a Nikon D5000 to a Nikon D800. I love, love, love it!
What's a creative way to display photographs?
When I'm not shooting with my DSLR I'm usually snapping away with my iPhone. I'm an instagram addict and there are lots of fun ways to display those cute little square images. 3" x 3" coasters, or refrigerator magnets are a fun way to create photo collages to display around the house. And they are inexpensive and easy to change any time the mood strikes you.
