What do you blog about?
My blog is a collection of thoughts, feelings, opinions, and stories from my life. Often times, I try to find deeper meaning in everyday experiences, and apply “life-lessons” to my daily happenings. When I use real-life incidents on my blog, I try to recall them from a third-person perspective. On occasion, I will post book reviews, rants, various opinions, or whatever I feel like at the time. The variety of subject matter is one of the reasons I love my blog so much, and one of the reasons it is uniquely mine.
What's the coolest thing about your mom?
The coolest thing about my mom is that she pushes me to achieve what I would otherwise reject. My involvement in the sport of tennis is one example of this. I began playing tennis at fourteen years old, and although I hated tennis camp and was constantly humiliated by the other kids there (most of whom were much better than me), my mom forced me to push forward. While I didn’t understand it at the time, I now know that everything my mom did for me was in my best interest. I made the high school tennis team this year, and I’m improving every day. Ultimately, my mom taught me that perseverance goes a long way, and that value is something I’ll remember the next time I’m in a tough situation.
If the tables were turned and you could punish your parents, what would they get in trouble for?
If the tables were turned, I would punish my parents for jumping to conclusions before they’ve heard my full perspective. There are two sides to every story, and listening to both can alter your feelings on an entire situation. It is unfair to assume that you know the full scope of things when you are judging based on secondhand information. I believe that if you are going to draw conclusions, you should at least hear out both sides of the equation.
