Bananas--my two-year-old loves them! Healthy, filling & not messy. We have a Banana Guard (plastic case) that keeps them from getting smushed when we're on the go.

What's the best family vacation destination in Canada?

Lisa Corriveau

I love the Gulf Islands, Saltspring & Galiano in particular. They're quiet, laid-back & not that expensive. Lots of variety of accommodations, from resorts to B&Bs to cabins. There's lots to do--hiking, kayaking, camping, tours of cheese makers, wineries... They're so close to Vancouver & Victoria, but you really feel far away when you're there.

What's your favorite activity to do in the winter with your family?

Lisa Corriveau

We don't really get snow here on the Wet Coast, so our winter activities aren't all that different from the rest of the year. To escape the rain, I love to take my little guy to the Vancouver Aquarium. When it's not raining, we like to bike over to the Winter Farmers Market on the weekends or walk to one of the parks in the neighbourhood.
