Take Ten Again

http://www.taketenagain.blogspot.com

Take ten is a blog about taking a break with your kids everyday to teach them something, ANYTHING, in an engaging and fun way. Everyday there is a new 10 minute activity posted for parents to do with their children.

Where do you discover new kid-friendly crafts?

What's one creative product you would recommend to all moms?

How do you encourage your child to explore their creativity?

What's an easy and fun Spring or Easter-themed craft?

Ama de Casa

Create a nest with your kids "hatching" out of egg shells. First, clean and dry out some cracked egg shells, saving both sides of the eggs. Next, get a small head shot picture of your child and place it in the bottom part of the egg. Then gently place the top egg shell on the top half of the picture so it looks like your child is hatching from the egg. I placed the eggs into a Easter basket filled with Easter grass and placed it on our table for our decoration this year. Can you recommend a great toy that costs less than $10? Please share a link to a photo.

Ama de Casa

For literally up to a half hour of entertainment and laughter for free with my kids I do something I like to call the one man show. My first two fingers become little legs and they dance around, climb my kids' faces, stand on their noses and make the little guy say "I'm on a mountain", and lots of other silly things. My kids love it, it's free and they can make their own two legged little man with their fingers too. They come up with lots of funny things for their one man show to do and say. Imagination can provide so much more interest than any toy you can buy.
