How do you make shopping for your family's clothes affordable?

Kids are always staining, putting holes in, or outgrowing their clothes. And all three happen fast. So, it's hard to justify spending a lot. Thrift, Old Navy, H&M, hand-me-downs (with lots nephews, we've got a lot of boy hand-me-downs in this house!). And what I love is the websites that give free shipping too. Zara is one of them! Love Zara.

What food would you most like to banish from school cafeterias?

Well, echoing Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, how about flavored milk?!? I am pretty sure soda pop is gone at this point, but what in the world are we doing with fluorescent pink colored milk? Not to mention chocolate milk. It's dessert. Let's not sugar up our kids then send them back to class for focus and learning, eh? Hear, hear!

Fisher Price! Fisher Price all the way! The farm house, the hospital, the little circle-headed plastic people. Lucky for me, we have a few pieces that my little guy now plays with!

What's your family's favorite nostalgic, silly, or practical holiday tradition? (If there's an image that goes along with your tradition, please share a link.)

This is a new one, but can I still call it a tradition!? At least, we plan on repeating it year after year because it was so fun. We went to a local place that sells the most delicious french toast bagels -- bagels for all, coffee for Mom + Dad, juice for the kids. Then we went to a nearby Christmas tree farm. Tractor ride out to the fields where we cut down our own tree. Beautiful surroundings, gorgeous morning, bellies full of delicious bagels. It was a perfect morning and one to be repeated every year!
