What's the best part of raising a family in Canada?
The best part of raising a family in Canada is being able to enjoy our freedom and be proud to teach our children exactly what it means to be Canadian. Now that we have part covered, we also love hiking, biking and camping while enjoying some of the great outdoor landscape Canada has to offer. Okay... and just in case you are now thinking we are real health nuts... think again. When we're not outside doing all that nature stuff, you can find us enjoying a great big poutine with a side of bacon.
What's the biggest misconception people have about raising a family in Canada?
A huge misconception that people have about having a family in Canada is that we all love to play hockey. Just to clear it up for you... we are all terrible skaters in this family and NONE of us own a hockey stick. I do own a curling broom though and can't wait to take my little guy out this year to get him into an often overlooked sport. Oh... and we don't have snow year round, nor have we ever seen a polar bear anywhere other than the zoo.
What do your kids love most about living in Canada?
Our kids love that we can drive a few hours away and see moose crossing the road. My son enjoys doing his loon call at the cottage and is thrilled when they actually call back to him. They also love Caillou, and Toopy and Binoo... and I'm pretty sure that those two ridiculously annoying cartoons are uniquely Canadian.
