Of all the DIY projects you've done, which was your favorite?

My patio chandelier crafted out of an old weathered ladder and mason jars is still making me happy nearly two years later. Between the ladder, the mason jars and the Moravian star lantern I think I might have formed a trifecta of perfection. http://unskinnyboppy.com/2011/04/pottery-barn-inspired-ladder-lantern/

What's your advice for moms who want to decorate their home on a budget?

Like Macklemore says... Thrift Shop! Don't pop any tags, but do go browsing for your next big project idea and see what you can repurpose into something awesome for your home, like my thrift store sweater turned lampshade project: http://unskinnyboppy.com/2013/01/diy-lampshade-tutorial/

Also, shop your home and figure out if a little spray paint or fabric might give something you already own a fresh new outlook. Be creative and get outside the box.

Where do you find inspiration for keeping your home stylish?

Pinterest is my go-to place for inspiration for most things in life, but also diy blogs, and home decor magazines or catalogs are at the top of my places to turn when I need to get the creative juices pumping. I love Pinterest because I'm a very visual person, so just looking through photos of amazing spaces helps inspire new ideas for me to create things in different ways for my own home. The diy home design blogging niche is filled to the brim with a never ending stream of cool ideas. I have several facebook interest lists filled with my favorites so I can quickly scan what they are posting about and see what piques my interest.
