I never thought we would live overseas. But in 2009 my husband was offered a two year assignment within his company that would require a move to Australia. It was too good to pass up, and the adventure of doing something new really appealed to us. So, he took the job, we moved to the other side of the world and have never regretted it for a moment.
In just a few weeks our expat journey will continue when we move from Sydney, Australia to London, England!
I love the relaxed, friendly people. Aussie's have a good thing going here and they know it! Stunning natural beauty, endless opportunities for outdoor recreation, unique wildlife, a bustling and vibrant city. I could go on and on about how much I love living in Sydney — but that's why you should read the blog!
As much as I love it here, there are a few things that I just can't get used to. Slow/poor customer service (part of the No Worries attitude), incredibly high prices for goods and services, and the lack of decent fountain drinks top my list of things I don't enjoy about living here!
