My son was born right in time for my daughters terriable 2's and potty training, so everything was so hetic that she kind of just skipped over it. Now that she is almost 4...I am wondering when the whining will end? Any one know how I can get this kid to listen to me? especally in public....no matter what time of day or where we go she can behave....whines, wont listen to me.



Help!! She listens to her dad fine, and to me when hes home....but even with 4 minute timeouts I cant get threw to her anymore.

Well my little girl was really good always listened to me and could take her anywere. the only problem with eboney is she never stopped talking which every1 loves haha but since i have had my second child she is becomming reaaly naughty trying to get away with alot talkig to me horrible, smacking, nipping and kicking me and naughty when out. every1 is saying it is because of atenshion but she has most of it and i dont know why she is been like it i just put it down to her age.

well, i have no advice...but I will tell you that you are not alone. My daughter is "an angel at school" according to her pre-school teachers. They recommended to me that I head out on errands and even if I was planning on going solo to tell her "I am going to...and I was going to bring you, but remember when you acted up the last time we were out? Well, I am just going to go alone because you cannot behave like I know you can." they also told me there are some books out there that tell tales of kids misbehaving in public. They recommended to simply read the books and say nothing. most likely, the kids will ask questions and draw their own conclusions.

I just got the advice today, so I have no idea if it will work. Hang in there...at the very least you can email me and we can swap stories!
