Talked to my doctor about a new study being done - they are testing to see if giving a patient 2 years of herceptin treatments has better prevention than the regular 1 year treatment. Keeping my fingers crossed that the results are in favor of longer life - if it turns out good I'll be going for a second year. Has anyone heard about this study?

I just got approved to receive a 2nd year of herceptin for preventative care and I'm also going to be getting a PET scan done. So very grateful for the awesome team of doctors I've been given who aren't afraid to be more aggressive with my treatments and are willing to take a chance to prevent my cancer from returning.

Yeah I heard about this My Dr said they give a one year treatment because they did the study not to long ago and saw it has the same effect as a two year.
