my daughter is 6 weeks old and i recently introduced the bottle and the formulas we have tied so far just arent settling with her belly. We have used similac advanced and enfamil premium. Is it just a transition stage or is there a better formula we could be trying?

I have always used and loved Gerber Good Start. Its proteins are already partially broken down to be more gentle on baby's digestive system. I was always a breastfeeder, but when I needed to supplement, this is what I used. The stools were almost exactly the same as when breastfed and I never had a problem with colic or constipation. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_3...

I use Similac Advance because thats what WIC supplies where I live but I found that I like Enfamil. Its not as chunky and thick as Similac and it doesnt cause the baby to throw up as bad. Another I like is Parent's Choice (Wal-Mart's brand). Its smooth like Enfamil and doesnt cost as much. I didnt find transitioning that hard from the breast to the bottle. I waited 6 wks which is the alotted time to wait before trying to transition and my son actually liked the bottle more. The best thing to do is to test bottles and formulas (if you can afford to) and see what the baby best works with and what you're satisfied with. Good luck!

Transitioning to formula can be very hard to do for a baby used to breast milk. The best one I've found is "Baby's Only" by Nature's Own... you may have to buy it online (I always orded cases at a time) It is a very natural formula with organic ingredients that are digested better than most commercial formulas. Good Luck!
