my grandmaw fussed at me the other day bc i havent started feeding my 6 month old solids yet :( she said i was crazy bc her kids were eating oatmeal and peaches at 2 months! She said could you survive on a few glasses of milk a day?? she said shes probrally starving and her tummys never gonna grow is there any truth in what shes saying?? she made me feel horrible any help would be great thanks!

My baby girl just turned 6 months old on May 27th and only three days ago did I introduce solids to her. I gave her organic baby rice cereal. According to my doctor holding off until your baby is 6 months old will help prevent giving them food allergies and digestion problems. I'm still not sure she is ready because today is day four and she is still not swallowing the cereal well. I would go to your child's doctor for more information :)

I'm trying to hold off to 6 months for my second. My husband swears that DD#2 wants what we're eating, but she really hasn't shown she's ready.

I gave mine solids at 4 months but they recommend now 6 months. Is your daughter showing any signs of being ready? For the first year milk is the main source of nutrients so I wouldnt worry at this point too much. I wouldnt really take much notice of the older generation either because things change all the time, in the 12 years since my oldest was born to now with my youngest loads of things ave changed so you cant just imagine what has changed in 30/40 years.
