I have a 14 month old big, healthy nursing boy and recently found out that I'm expecting another in September. My question for all you moms is: does the nipple sensitivity go away so i can continue to comfortably nurse my son? It's starting to just hurt and get irritating, so I was wondering if any of you have nursed an older child during a pregnancy and any tips you could give me. Thanks, all!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I nursed my 2-year-old throughout my second pregnancy, and my nipples were pretty sore throughout. It did go away then after my daughter was born. I recommend this book to everyone, "Adventures in Tandem Nursing." Even if you don't plan to tandem nurse, it has great advice about nursing during pregnancy. Good luck!
