I love that they're holding hands and peeking at each other!! That must be such a wonderful experience, nursing them together and seeing their little relationship grow!

This is a poster for any mom that thinks breastfeeding is too much work!! Its beautiful and a HUGE encouragement. I fed my firstborn till she was 2 years and 10 months and my second is now 5 months and exclusively breastfed. My sister in law is expecting twins and has been very unsure about how she is going to manage the brestfeeding. Any tips? My email is juliew.mac@gmail.com

Hello Alisa,
I am 13 wks pregnant with twins and have a 23 mth old at home. Everyone asks me if I am going to breastfeed and I am always surprised by that question. I am a little anxious about managing two but I couldn't imagen not breastfeeding them. Any pointers?

claudia.. I wanted to mention;

Please feel free to email me at any time. Twins are HARD. But so rewarding too. If you ever just want to chat with someone that's "been there" check in with me. Even send me a message through facebook. Take care.

Hi claudia!

When they were smaller I had a twins "boppy". I put one child on couch and then strapped the boppy around my waist. I then grabbed the other child and put her on the boppy. Reached over and grabbed her brother and scooped him onto the boppy. And voila. it is MUCH easier to nurse both now as I just pull them onto the couch and whip the breasts out and they pretty mucht take it from there. I don't nurse them together often. Only when one can't wait. I am home with my three year old... but he is no help.

I admire you for being able to nurse both at the same time.Please tell me how you manage to get them both into position. I'm home alone during the day and would imagine that you need another pair of hands!!! I've got 24 day old twins (girl/boy) however our girl is still in hospital as they were born @ 32 weeks and she only weighed 1.33kg

Wow!! Well done on continuing with the feeding this long!! I find it hard feeding one (have had a lot of problems though) let alone twins... Well done you!!!

thanks everyone! I have a five year old and 3 year old as well. We didn't know we were having twins until 36weeks.. (and they were born 2 days later). It was a whirlwind and it continues to be. They are sweet though.... :)

That is so cute! I love that they are holding hands, it makes me want another bubba for my little man (also 10mths) to have this bond with! I bet the past 10mths has at times been a bit of a blur. I do hope that they are the best of buddies and keeping each other amused more now days. Well done for keeping up with the feeding - BIG pat on the back to you!
