For the past couple of days my 3 week old boy has only had 1 or 2 poops a day is this something to be concerned about normally he was passing at least 3 a day.

if he is fully breast fed then this is totally normal. Everything is normal when breastfed, as they don't get constipated or anything like that. They can go 10 times in one day, or once every ten days! My 4 month old son used to go practically 10 times a day, we went through soo many nappies! Sometimes 3 in a single nappy change! And now he only goes maybe once or twice a week, and I have to say I like this much better! It felt like all I did was change nappies for the first few months of his life.

As long as baby has no signs of constipation. I wouldn't worry. Mt baby only goes once a week anywhere from 7-13 days apart since birth. Doc said its normal and not to worry. Bf baby's don't always poop a lot. Breast milk is very easily digested and baby's body uses most of the nutrients . If u see any signs of constipation call baby doctor

I wouldn't be too worried, my son was exlcusively bf & he'd only poo every 7-10days, bf babies are more proficient at using the breastmilk as opposed to formula so don't need to poo as often, paed said he'd only be concerned if at 3 weeks he hadn't pooed. Also is bub uncomfortable? If not don't stress but you can give them pear or prune juice, sugar water can upset their bellies! Check with your doc if your concerned tho!

No worries! Just make sure he has plenty of wet diapers. Breastfed babes will often go days on end without a poop.

There is a huge range for BF babies. My first child pooped 5 times a day and at 2 years old still does. My 4 month old poops every 4-8 days. The first time he went a week I called our pediatrician. Though I'd read this is common it was just so far from what I'd experienced with my first. The doctor said as long as he's not vomiting or showing signs of discomfort not to worry. She also told me not to change my diet and absolutely no medications for such a young baby. Fewer messy diapers :)

You could offer the breast more and nurse until your baby unlatches or falls asleep. It is very normal for bf babies to go a long time w/o a bm at around six weeks old.

It ti very normal the thing with breaastmilk is that the body will only let off what is not needed, so if ur kid is pooping 2wice a day thats ok. my 1st child went for 14days and the drs. said that is completely normal with fellu breaastfed babies.

Completely normal breastfed babies can go 10 days without pooping!
