I am 5 weeks pregnant and still nursing my almost 13 month old can nursing cause you to bleed? I have started to bleed the past couple of days, and now when I nurse her it feels like my uterus is tightening like I had just gave birth or something. Could I have misscarried or does that sound normal? Has anyone experienced anything similair to this please help..... I'm worried

Nursing can cause braxton hicks contractions, but unless you have a history of preterm labor, nursing is perfectly safe during pregnancy. There are many other things that can cause contractions too... sex, exercise, dehydration, lack of sleep... lol you name it. Braxton hicks are not dangerous though. Nursing will not increase the risk of miscarriage... if you're worried about your pregnancy though, talk to your OB.

I would call the doctor. Nipple stimulation causes the uterus to contract... Good luck.
