my son is 7 months old and teething but the last few days he has been nursing a lot more than normal for him and eating less solids. will he eat more and go back to his normal nursing once his tooth comes thru?

Yes, he should. My son is almost 11 months old and has done the same thing with pretty much every tooth. Also, don't be surprised if he, all of a sudden, seems uninterested in nursing as much, or if he starts to nurse and the pulls away. Sometimes when their gums get really tender, the suction can hurt. Good luck to you!

Breastmilk offers pain relieving hormones, so they often nurse more when they are teething or growing. It will pass.

I think so my son Jacob has done the same thing. Don't worry it will all work out.

More than likely he will go back to solids. He's being comforted by nursing so he will opt to nurse over anything else. At this age, they don't really need to eat any solids as breastmilk will sustain him til he's 12 months old.
