My son will be 10 months old on April 1. He has never been a great sleeper, but for the past month or so, he has been waking up every 2 hours if not every hour. Sometimes he seems to comfort nurse...he goes right to sleep when he latches and suckles a bit...but when I pull him off and lay him back down next to me (we co-sleep) he wakes up again. Over the weekend (Saturday night), I nursed him around 10 pm...but he woke up an hour later...I am exhausted so I actually made him a bottle (we have some formula on hand to mix with his cereal on occasion). He downed 5 of the 6 ounces. But still only slept about 2 hours. Last night, same thing...nursed him and put him down around 9. He slept until 10:30. He woke up, I nursed him, let him on for some time...11 pm. Tried to lay him down...woke right up. I caved and made a bottle. 5 of the 6 ounces again. Back to sleep around 11:15. Back up again around 2:45. Breasfed again...let him nurse, suckle, etc...until 3:30. Wide awake. Woke my husband up to take a turn. He made him a 4 oz bottle, drank it all. Am I not making enough milk?? Is he done breastfeeding?? What should I do? This is the longest I have breastfed and would like to longer than a year...or at least until he is a year.
