its perfectly normal that your baby hasn't pooped in 3 days. as the get older, especially around 6 months they start to use up most of the breast milk they are getting and dont actually need to poop because there isnt really anything to poop. my son went 6 days the other day. that was kinda crazy and i did start to get worried. i gave him a couple sips of water and he pooped normal poops later on that day. twice actually haha. and now hes going on 5 days of no poops again. hes perfectly happy and not in any pain so im not worried about it.

Breastfed babies can go every day or once a week or even once every 2 week and it's all normal. They do not get constipated (unless you're giving any formula). Don't do anything! Don't give juice, or suppositories, or take a rectal temperature or anything. Just let baby do what baby needs to do.

I just took my baby to the doctor today because she hadn't pooped in four and a half days and had clear liqued coming out of her butt.... They said "If it reaches a week, come back, give her a teaspoon of dark karo syrup in her bottle (since Daddy feeds her my milk when I'm at work) or give her a baby supository." Well we went home, and she EXPLODED with poop, EVERYWHERE (on her own, no medications needed) I have never seen so much poop come out of someone so tiny, and there was a LOT. She was so much more happy afterwords, she was cooing and squealing which she hasn't been doing all weekend, probably cause she was in so much discomfort. BUT thus far it is normal if your baby hasn't popped in 3 days as long as they're eating normaly and wetting often.
My oldest would go between 10 and 14 days for poop...I loved it!! She would get a little fussy a couple of hours before and then she would grunt and groan as if she was trying to figure out exactly what was going on and fill up her diaper top to bottom. As long as your baby is eating good and has plenty of wet diapers, isn't fussing and her belly is soft Enjoy this time. LOL I so miss the breastmilk only days :)

1st question your pedi will ask is if you have changed her diet...
try giving pedialyte... or (1/2 prune(or apple) 1/2 water 4 oz. a day). if this doesn't help... try anal stimulation (placing a thermometer in the rectum and gently twisting).
If she isn't having wet diapers & having painful passing of stools then it could be dehydration... otherwise she is a normal baby
This is all things my pedi told me when our 4 month old didn't poo for 4 days (she did this for a month only pooing every 3-4 days)
If she isn't in pain then enjoy the fewer poopy diapers that you are having to change.

This is common with bf'ed babies. Most docs say they can go up to 7 days without poops!
Check with your PEDI. I had to give my oldest daughter an infant suppository at 20 weeks....worst thing EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
