Has anyone taken the antibiotic Keflex while breastfeeding or pregnant?? I just want to make sure it is safe before taking it. My dosage is only 500mg 1/day for 10 days. Info soon please!!!

I don't remember what my dosage was when I was taking it but I know I took it during my first pregnancy and everything was fine. You can google it to get all the warnings and risks.

I took Keflex when my daughter was about 4 weeks old. I had mastitis. My doctor assured me it was safe to take while breastfeeding. This chart also says it's safe to take http://www.babycenter.com/0_drug-safety-...

If you're ever unsure you can contact your OB, a lactation consultant or your pharmacist. They should all have a book that tells them if a medicine is safe to take while breastfeeding.
