I tore in three places when I had my beautiful baby girl. They weren't severe tears but enough to need stitches. It took about 8 weeks before I was able to comfortably have relations with my husband. Anyway, now nearly 7 months post partum, I am having itching and burning on one of my scarred areas. Is this normal? Has anyone else had this happen?

It took me 4 months to feel up to having sex again (GOD BLESS MY HUSBAND). Once healed, sometimes it would burn after sex, but I found out I had some granular tissue growing in my vagina (basically a skin tag that grows from scarred tissue). Had them removed, no more pain. But no, I never had burning or itching at the tear site. I would definitely have your doctor take a look.

I did with my tear about 9 months later. I got a yeast infection on my scar and needed special cream to clear it up.

I needed stitches each time with my two girls. It took much more than 8 weeks for things to be "comfortable" again. But no, i've not had itching and burning past the first few weeks. You may want to go back to your Dr. and have it checked out. Make sure there is no infection.
