i wanna know if starting to lactate at 12 weeks pregnate is normal it wasn't the milk but the clear stuff (can't spell the technical name) i've had to wear nursing pads since i was 12 weeks pregnate

I didn't start to leak until i was about 8 months pregnant and only i night i did a few times. I have heard of some peopel tho that leak alot throughout there entire pregnancy. Just depends on the person. I think you fine. If your concerned you could ask your midwife or dr but i think it's pretty normal

The colostrum can come in at any time, it's different for everybody. Mine came in at the beginning of my 2nd trimester. Your milk doesn't come in until the baby is born...I was told it could be a few days, but mine came in a few hours after he was born.

with my first my colostrum came in at around 8-9 weeks and it was leaking at about 12 wks but every pregnancy is different with this pregnancy i got it in at 18 weeks and i'm not leaking but it gets bad if clive is crying

I never leaked during my pregnancy although i do understand that it's very common to do so. My milk came in about 4 days after Amelia was born.

I started "leaking" at 16 weeks. According to the lactation specialist I had breastfeeding classes from actual milk production begins after post delivery hormones are released but your body can still produce what appears to be milk prior to delivery. It apparently doesn't mean you will be abundant once you start actually breastfeeding but it helps...

have you nursed before? i have and this time i always leaked when another baby cried or when i was in a shower. I got my milk when i was still in the hospital, a day after she was born

its normal for the colustrum to come through that early but milk doesnt normally come through till anywhere from a day to a week after you give birth. i think i was about 18 weeks pregnant when it all started for me.
