not sure if theres even any milk left for her my breasts feel extremely empty & ive tried a dummy but she refuses to suck on anything but my nipple!

If your baby is 4 months old and wanting to latch on that often, now might be a good time to try some cereal. mix up a Tbsp and try with a spoon. see what baby thinks and see if it helps him see there are other comforts that boobie. My daughter did this at 4 months and I introduced her to cereal and she wasnt ready for it, she took it for a week and then wouldnt eat anymore, but she didnt go back to nursing so often. and with in two weeks she was ready to try cereal again and she loved it and is now almost 8 months old and eating and loving all kinds of fruits and veggies.... You are a human pacifier right? My baby did that when he was a month old. We had just gotten home from the hospital. I spent many hours holding him and letting him nurse. It was constant. My doctor finally told me that it was okay to let him cry especially if I knew he wasn't hungry. I had a two year old at home with me too so I let him cry a little. He usually ended up going to sleep. Sometimes they are just looking for comfort or overly tired. Good luck.

I too have a 10 month old who would quite happily nurse every hour if i let him!! It gets easier as they get older as you can distract them with a toy, or a comfort blanket/muslin or just a cuddle... but while she is still so little i'd just let her nurse as much as she wants ;) Enjoy the precious time it doesnt last long!!

Very normal- my ten month old nurses twice an hour, which is down from 3-4 times an hour just two months ago.
Don't watch the clock, put baby to your breas when she wants it, and you'll make adequate milk for her.

Sounds like she's going through a growth spurt. Hang in there and let her suck- there's milk in there, don't worry, and by her sucking so much it will stimulate more milk production. Growth spurts are always hard!
