my son is three and a half months old and is exclusively bf. He has plenty of wet nappies, eats frequently and is full after each feed. but the last month he has hardly gained any weight, in last two weeks he only gained about 150grams. he weighs about 5.8 kgs. Is my milk not good enough any more?

After the first couple of months, it's completely normal for healthy babies to only gain 1-2 lbs per month.....

My son is also a slow gainer. It took him longer than 2 weeks to regain his birthweight, so the doctor was concerned. I spoke with my lactation consultant to get help to increase my supply a bit. Otherwise he was just like your son.. plenty of wet/dirty diapers and looked great otherwise.. bright eyes, plenty of activity, etc.. just that he didn't look fat the way the doctor wanted (and I'm sure what she was used to)... I am sure your milk is fine!.. BF babies are usually slimmer than their formula-fed counterparts. If you think he's not getting enough then feed more, or pump and then feed whatever you expressed in addition to BF.

As long as he is not losing weight he is fine. Eventually they do start to slow down on their gaining and some babies don't gain weight as fast. I think you have nothing to worry about here, especially if he is still having plenty of wet diapers and is satisfied after nursing. He looks very healthy and happy! Great job!
