My 10 month old goes 3-5 days, sometimes more without pooping.....is that normal?? She is on breastmilk and table food, when she does go it is formed but soft. She does pass a lot of gas some days but seems happy for the most part.

Thank you ladies. I did take her to the doc and he seemed to think she needed an enema and lactulose to help her go. I finally broke down and gave her the enema and her poop was was very soft - borderline runny. I tried to tell him that she has been going days in between pooping since she was 6 months old (when we started solids) but coincedently she was running a fever so he claimed that since she had not pooped in 3 days it was turning her poop toxic lol. Come to find out she just had a mild UTI.

Both my kids would go up to 2 weeks between poops! Completly normal. As long as it is soft when it comes out there is nothing at all to worry about. Just be prepared for a major blowout if she hits the 1 week mark :)

Some babies have different "normal" bowel movements. I have a 3 year old that only went (and still does) every 3-4 or more days. As long as they aren't struggling or crying when they go they arent constipated. If your worried about it I would bring it up to her doctor at her next appointment.
