I can't believe Better Homes and Gardens allowed something like this to be published with their name on it.

**EDIT**

They edited the article and removed the section about breastfeeding. This is what it said:

"THOU SHALT NOT BREAST FEED AT THE TABLE

Yes, I have seen table-side breast feeding at a four-star restaurant. If at all possible, take it to the ladies room. (Note: most upscale restaurants have really nice restrooms!)"

Not sure that apology is enough. If they felt that it should have been edited, it should have been done BEFORE the backlash. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

lol, Tanya. Good point! I did read the apology, but I will probably not feel the same about Better Homes and Gardens again. I understand that this was a blog, but maybe they should stick to homes and gardens not how we should raise our children. I hope that blogs by people who use BHG name will be reviewed now. Suggesting women do something that is illegal is ridiculous and I wouldn't want my company name on that.

Wow an apology!
I just can't believe in the comment the one lady who said it was hard not to look when someone is breast feeding.
So ask the hostess to seat you where you can't see it. I worked as a hostess and have moved people for all kinds of reason. Also things happen in public that you might not want to see not just breast feeding. Ever been to a movie and had a high school couple come in late set down right in front of you and make out the whole time. DO you watch them instead of the movie

Yes, Angie, I saw that in Redbook too. The "pros and cons of breastfeeding." It was very anti breastfeeding.

Oh my goodness, another magazine that will be losing my interest. I was just reading the May Redbook yesterday and they had what I felt was a very anti breastfeeding article.

Yes, they edited it. It said:

Here's an article on it:

They're trying to smooth things over, but I think the damage has been done.

I'm assuming the article was edited to remove the breastfeeding thing, because I don't see it there now.

I did feed in the lounge in the restroom. Not that I'm offended by mothers that feed in public, I'm just that that cordinated. Everyone would have seen my chest, and I just didn't feel comfortable with that. Friends and family is one thing. I am alittle jealous of mommies that can.. I just never was. lol
