Birth control

Just wondering if any breast-feeding moms are on the birth control pill.. My daughter is 5 months old and we are exclusively breastfeeding but I have gotten a few periods so as not to get pregnant my dr. suggested I go on the birth control pill.. I am on a low dose one she feels its fine to do so as long as breastfeeding is well established (which it is) and after 6 weeks (which she is) But I have read so much saying only use it as last resort. Just wondering what other mothers decided to do? THanks!

i am on the birth control pill yasmine and my doctor said it is fine, i've been taking it for a month and just got my first period and my daughter is only 10 weeks old. she is fine and i am still breastfeeding fine. i think if you have problems with it then stop but i can't see why you couldnt take it
