My six month old who now has two teeth has begun to bite me at each feed, and its not pleasant! It usualy makes me jump which scares him and makes him scream. Does anyone have any tips on how to stop this biting? As its getting to the point of me wanting to stop bf because of it.
Thank you

Yeah i agree with Kristi. Remove the child from the breast and this will upset them and after a couple times they will stop biting.
My daughter bit me a couple times and i would tell her no, in a stern voice, and sit her in the floor for a few minutes. She learned real quick not to bite the boob anymore.
Watch your child when she is nursing, if she is actively nursing, she cant bite so if she bites its because she is not latched on, and just playing. So if she isnt latched on just watch her real close so not to give her a chance to bite.
Good Luck,
I know those unexpected bites can hurt.

My baby started that with her first teeth at about the same time. All I did to stop it was when she bit I gave her a light tap on the cheek (not enough to hurt her or leave a mark, but enough for her to feel it and get a little shock) and then took her off and made her wait for about 15 minutes. It took about 3 days, but she eventually got the message that if she bit, she didn't get to eat. I know mums who would take their bub off and make them wait an hour until they fed them again, but I felt that was a bit excessive. I found 10 - 15 minutes worked fine. Annabellas now 8 months old and cutting her 3rd tooth, and I haven't had any problems with biting for the last 2 1/2 months.

Hope this helps :) Good luck
