so, my darling daughter is 18 months and is in the midst of cutting what seems to be like a whole mouthful of teeth! she just had her first 2 molars come through, and i can see 3 or 4 other teeth that look painfully close. her first 6, when she was 7 mos. or so, came through with minimal trouble. these on the other hand......:( anyway, my laid back, go with the flow, almost always happy little girl is suddenly screaming out of nowhere, pressing maddeningly on her cheeks or even grabbing the corners of her mouth with her fingers and pulling till it looks as if her cheeks are going to rip! she cries what seems like all the time (probably just because i'm only used to her crying if she's hurt or very, very tired) and wants to nurse on and off ALL DAY LONG. i feel so horrible for her and of course have been trying to help out with the pain as much as possible (pure clove oil directly on the gums is pretty amazing, by the way...and tylenol for sleep). but this 'bizzaro clementine', as i call her, is disturbing me...i suppose i just need to hear others' experiences to feel reassured that a.) her behavior is typical and b.) will not last forever! thanks in advance for your support, ladies!

it DOES help, amy! sometimes that's all it takes, i guess...to hear someone else going through something similar. thanks! oh, and clementine (my dd) has done that same exact thing, popping off out of nowhere, looking at me, and then saying "more?"...so funny! thanks again!

My boy is 20 months and we have been going through the exact same things...he tries to shove both fists in his mouth at once, is obsessed with eating ice, is a total maniac in the evenings all of a sudden, and is constantly nursing...just today he was nursing and suddenly pulled away and made a funny face at me then said "more?" I think he is draining my very essence, let alone all my milk lol...all I can say is it will all be over eventually. For now, I just keep him stocked with ice and motrin and pray for those teeth to hurry up and pop out! His eye teeth were the worst and luckily they are finally over. Hope it helps you feel better that you are not the only one!
