I have a three day old newborn that I had to give formula top ups to and start pumping in hospital because of low birth weight andrew sugars. Now I can pump more and I am confused on how to wean formula?? I also don't know how often I should pump and feed. Any advice would be great.

How often were you supplementing? I wouldn't pump this early in the game. Honestly, I'd toss the formula and nurse. Nurse on demand, at the first signs of hunger, which will be AT LEAST 8 to 12 times in 24 hours. Remember, you can never nurse too much but you can nurse too little. It's so important right now to nurse often because this helps bring your milk in and helps supply. Watch diapers. You want one diaper per day of life, up to 7 days. Then after that, 6 to 8 diapers, no matter content.
