Do you have a success story about breastfeeding a preemie? My son is 8 weeks old now, born at 32 weeks weighing 3lbs 6oz. We're having some troubles. Currently I am breastfeeding, pumping and topping him up with my milk from a bottle. I have 3 other children who I've successfully BF for over 1 year each. I'm looking for inspiration to continue this exhausting routine.

well done and keep going i know many others who been through it and it is worth it especially for a premie world health say to feed for two years but go by the adjusted age for this little one
also breastfeeding really helps a premie catch up and stay healthy more so than a term baby

Hi! I am breastfeeding my twin babies, and they were both preemies, born at 34.5 weeks. We had to overcome a week at the NICU, a very unsupportive staff at the hospital, low milk supply and 3 plugged ducts...and in spite of all those problems I would still do it all over again! My babies are almost 6 months and breastfeeding is now a breeze! Hang in there, it will get better very soon!
