Hi nursing Mommies I tried to post a link for you all of a beautifully written piece of encouragement. I literally wept when I read it. But I was unable to post it here , so I thought I would tell yall where to go to read it if you'd like.

Thankyou so much for this article and website! My husband and I have been talking about taking our baby boy off the breast and onto a special formula (because of stomach aches and gas). After I read this article and a few others from the site, I'm not going to budge and keep on breastfeeding my baby boy! Thanks again!

Thanks so much for posting that! I started breastfeeding mainly for the financial benefits but it has grown to be so much more! I can't imagine feeding my little lady any other way!

I am glad you all enjoyed the information on the link I posted, judging from the comments I have received here I will refrain from posting any of the adverse information I have about formula!

That was awesome. I worked for the WIC office as a breastfeeding counselor as well, it was such a rewarding job. I loved it, as I loved breastfedding all of my children. Keep up the good work. This is one of the many great gifts that have been bestowed upon us as mothers! It is so impportant to have a strong support system. Many women need encouragement, and your job is vital to that. God bless you for your work!

That is lovely, I also cried!! My baby boy is 8 months now and although I don't exclusively bf (low milk supply in the beginning and was advised to 'top up' with formula much to my horror but just got on with it for the sake my baby was full although felt totally inadequate as a mother) I bf in the night and sleep with him in my arms. I love that feeling that he wants me for comfort and I am able to provide that for him.

Loved that article. Breastfeeding really is the best for our little ones! My husband was breastfed for 3 years, and he has never gotten sick. He is very strong and healthy. His mother did great! My daughter is now 7 months old, still breastfeeding... I hope to continue for another year...

Thanks for posting that. Definitely learned some really great things that I didn't know about before. Some of that is pretty scary as well.

wow that was realy helpful. I tried not to read the parts on formular fed babies only because i formular fed two of my children because i was told my nipples cracking and bleeding was normal and i now knw it isnt!!!!! if i was told that b4 then maybe i would have had better chance of breastfeeding them successfuly too. Breastbeeding makes a lot more sence. My eldest child suffered from ear infections that landed him up in hospital a few times i blame that on formular and always have this proved it to me. By the way my 3rd baby is now 9weeks old and im still breastfeeding him we bothr loving it.

I am so glad it helped you. I am about to take a job as a Lactation Consultant for the Ohio WIC program to help Moms with breastfeeding issues  ( and to help me pay for school ..LOL) If you need anything , if you have questions don't hesitate let me know ! Stay Strong !!

Yes the WIC LC's here in Cleveland  are spread very thin as well. It takes mine a day sometimes toget back to me too. That is why they are pushing to hire more and my LC dropped my name for the job. I've written papers for my college composition class on breastfeeding so I've done some extensive research. What part of Ohio do you live in?

Really I live in Ohio and I didnt know WIC had LC's I usually call the LC at the hospital with questions but she is very busy and can sometimes take a while to get back and it is virtually impossible to get a meeting with her.
