Im still breastfeeding my one year old and im so proud of myself :-) But now feel its time to cut it down and start weaning, i dont mind how long it takes but she's started nursing every 20/30 mins every day, then laughs at my breast, and tries to play with it.. she also has an obsession with blowing raspberries on my breast! So its not very convent any more! Can't even do the house work without her getting upset that boobs not on tap!! She is boob crazy!! Just looking for tips really! NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS PLEASE :-)

Aww...she sounds like she really loves to nurse! That is so great. I am the type of mom that when I am done with something I am DONE. When my daughter started playing with my breast, I knew it was time. She was 12 mos old and I stopped cold turkey. I gave her bottles of raw goat's milk before bed and that was it! She adjusted fine. I would just suggest that you introduce a bottle and start the weaning process.

I have breastfed all 4 of my chirldren. My first daughter weaned herself at 11 months, 2nd I had to wean as I fell pregnant with our son. I only fed him for 2 months as he sadle passed away. and our 4th Little munchkin i weaned at 7 months because she has a mouth full of teeth and learned very quickly how to bite. The way i weaned my munchkins was giving them a sipper cup with milk if you dont want them going to a bottle, you can even try telling her that she is a big girl now and doesnt need the boob anymore :) Hope this help and Good Luck :)

My daughter Jada is going to be 11 months on the 15th of November. I have already conquered CIO. Now I can lay her down at night and she sleeps. My husband does not want me to wean her until she is a year old. He feels it would be better for her. I go to work Mon- Fri, 8-5. I feed her When she wakes up at 5 am, then at 11 during lunch, then at 5 when I get home from work. I put her down anywhere between 7 and 8 pm. I have already taken away one night feeding. On the weekends when I am home my daughter acts like the buffet is at home. She wants to eat like every two hours or whenever she wants. She does not like for me to feed her unless I cook it and I'm eating it and she will not let me give her anything to drink. She reaches her hand down in my shirt and find my nipples and pinch them when she wants some milk. I told my husband the other day that when she breast feeds now, it's not the same when she was like three and four months. I said It's not like she needs it, it's more like I want this, it feels good, comfort.
