it really does work! my son is almost 6 months and just got his first ear infection (after a long air plane ride where he cried the WHOLE time) we landed and went immediately to the doctors.. and had a bad ear infection in the left ear, i dropped a couple drops of expressed breast milk in the ear that night and at the 2 day follow up the doctor was shocked and the remarkable improvement and the infection is almost gone! he is still on anitbiotics but i still think the breast milk did the trick!

I've heard of breastmilk for pinkeye.

yes my 3 month old was on antibiotics for her eye infection but two days after the medication ended it was back. Since then, I drop some drops of milk in her eye whenever it starts to crust up, and it goes away for a while. It also is less of a pain and the milk seems to be soothing whereas the meds looked like it irritated her eye and she bawled when i applied it. Turns out she has a clogged tear duct so the infections will keep coming back until it resolves itself or *gulp* surgery.

I've heard that dropping breastmilk in the nose when they have a cold works just as well. Haven't gotten an opportunity to try it yet.

Wow! I have heard of using urine. I think that I would be more likely to try the breastmilk!
