I have weaned my daughter from breastfeeding and am going to use cabbage leaves to help dry up the milk, exactly how is this supposed to be done? Has anyone done this successfully?

Bruise (crunch up) the cabbage leaf and then apply to breast. If you're just using it for soreness, be careful to not leave it on too long because it will dry up your milk.

Not heard about the cabbage leaves drying up the milk supply but they definately help with sore/tender breasts (you need savoy cabbage) store it in the fridge & then depending on the size of your breast place a leaf or part of a leaf inside your bra. I wasn't keen on smell but was assured by my family that I could only smell it cos I knew they were there. (not sure if they were just being kind) But the comfort far outweighed the smell. Good Luck.

I havnt done it but my mum and sister both did after they had their babies as they didnt breastfeed. They just put the leaves straight in their bras from the fridge. Apparently it helps with the soreness as well, it stinks as your breasts heat the leaves up though!
