My daughter was allergic to my milk (lactose and milk protein). I stopped breast feeding her when she was 3 months, she's now 5 months. I have a bunch of stored breast milk in the freezer and I tried giving it to her again and she no longer is allergic to it. Is it possible for me to some how produce milk again? I would love to continue to breast feed her.

U could also try a tablet called domperidone if u want ur milk supply to come bak quickly.....They give it to women who are adopting and want to breastfeed! Good luck!

Yes, it is possible to relactate. The La Leche League has wonderful resources. There are many wonderful herbs & teas to aide you. Also, demand will increase supply. I would recommend trying to nurse first before using formula.

Yes, as Melissa said...definitely you can reastablish your supply!! Maybe contact a good lactation consultant to help!! It may take some time and effort to feed more often to re-establish supply for demand.....but the rewards would be SO worth it!! Good luck!! Ironically, there is evidence to suggest that continued breastfeeding MAY help lessen chilhood allergies, among so many other health benefits!!

Yes! If you can either get her to suckle you or use an electric pump, prolactin will be produced and you'll be able to make milk again. It will take patience and dedication, but you can make more milk. Here are some very helpful websites:
