Can my baby be affected by my hormones?

Last time I had my period my 8 mo baby got stomach flu like symptoms... puking every hour or so and diarreah. A friend asked me a few days later if I'd gotten my period about that time. And yes it was 2 days later.

Now I'm very premenstual again... and once again my baby has tummy troubles. tho not so bad. Do you think its coincidental? Is that cause enough to wean? It doesn't seem fair that my darling baby should suffer, but I'd always wanted to nurse at least past a year. And whats more she won't even look at a bottle.

Thanks already for your help I'm at my wits end!!!!

I don't think it's related. I've never heard of a baby becoming sick when mom is on her period. I've had 2 periods now and my daughter doesn't act any differently.
