how often are you pumping? try pumping more often, even if you don't produce any milk. stimulate your nipples beforehand. you can also use hot, wet washcloths to induce letdown. this should send a message to your brain to make more milk.

After a Depo shot I went from overproducing to almost non-exhistant. A lactation consultant suggested fenugreek, brewers yeast tablets, eating a serving of oatmeal daily and Mothers Milk herbal tea (all at GNC) plus eletric double pump every two hours baby doesnt nurse. Worked for me! Don't be discouraged by numbers, if you produce less she just may have to nurse more often.

I am having the same problem. I pump every 3 hours and only get 3 oz. I am taking Fenugreek and Blessed thistle. I don't want to throw in the towel either. I know how you feel. I am going to try a prescription of Reglan again and see if it doesn't bump it up again. My baby wont nurse either and I have been pumping for 7 months now. Luckily I have a bunch of frozen milk in the freezer to get us threw each feeding. I don't know what were going to do when I run out of back stock. I don't want to go to formula. Your not alone on this one. Hope your milk increases. Think happy thoughts

I use both the manual and the electric pump. Sometimes the manual works a little better. What makes it easier for me is if I hear my baby, or another baby cry...so you could try watching one of those baby shows and see if that helps.

Is it your baby that didn't want to latch on? I had problems in the beginning because my nipples invert a little so I have to use a nipple sheild.

My son eats more than I produce, so I pump while he is sleeping and I do mix my breastmilk with formula if he is not satisfied. I told my pediatrician about it and she had no problem. If you can, keep pumping, breastmilk is the best for your baby. Formulas are much better than they used to be, but nothing is as good as breastmilk. Have you talked to a lactation specialist about latch problems? You can call La Leche League International at 1-877-4LaLeche or go to www.lalecheleague.org or call the Federal Breastfeeding Help Line at 1-800-994-9662 or www.womenshealth.gov Hope that helps!

Feed the breastmilk first, then supplement with formula. Pumping can take 10-20min. How often are you pumping??
