I'm due to go to a wedding in June and am trying to find something to wear. This is turning into a nightmare. I've spent the last month trying to find nice tops that i can lift up to feed and i can't find anything.

I would like to use a really nice breastfeeding dress but not pay a fortune for one. What are they like? Some seem really fiddley.

I REFUSE point blank to feed my daughter in a toilet and will feed in public but i want to look nice for our friends big day.

Any advice?

I agree with Brittany, I went to a wedding when my daughter was 2 months old, I bought an awesome stretchy scoop neck dress from Macy's, about 40 bucks, and just pulled it down to nurse :) I had my muslin blanket with me so i just draped it over to nurse discreetly, right at the dinner table :)
It was kind of awesome, whoever commented either thought she was sleeping, or told me how awesome it was that I was nursing my baby :)
..There is no need to buy specialized nursing dresses/tops, I bought a bunch at first and found that regular clothes were actually easier haha

I bought this really great nursing tank at Target. It is kind of flowy around the waste and the hips, and has spaghetti straps. You could try that and try to pair it with a nice pair of pants. I think it was $15. Hope this helps. Otherwise I agree with Brittnay V-necks and Scoop necks are awesome and you can usually find dressy ones at any clothing store. There is also a website where you can go and exchange baby clothes, nursing clothes maternity clothes etc. I can't remember the site's name but if you google it I am sure you will find it. Hope you find something great and have fun at the wedding!

Motherwear is a great catalogue for nursing clothes, and they even have some pretty dresses and occasionaly have good clearances. motherwear.com

get something stretchy! i too had a wedding to go to and i had found this adorable little black dress with a scoop neck that was really stretchy and i just pulled it down and made it work. it was on sale for like $10 right after prom season so i lucked out greatly. look for stretch, buttons, or a V neck that you can pull away. i dont even use nursing bras because i figured which i can "plop & tuck" with as i say. lol anything clothing that has to do with a child that is not for them is always going to be costly. you just got to be creative.
