clothing sizes (off the subject)

So my daughter still fits in most of her 0-3 month clothing and she is 5 and a half months old!!! I mean she is 13 and a half pounds and around 27 inches long. Some 6 month clothes fit though too ... I think they need to make generic sizes like just by pounds ... but I did have an outfit for newborn that was for a 5-8 pound baby that still fit her too (it was a dress and turned out to be much shorter though) hahaha. Anyone else notice this?

I agree...my 5 1/2 month old is the same...long and thinner. She is in the 90th percent for height and 25th percent for weight. Every brand is different, but she fits 6 months in Carter's and 3-6 in other brands.

Yes ... I agree ... my baby is like a "skinnier" baby so she fits in things longer. I think that if the clothes were measured by pounds would be easier!

I agree! My son is 6 months old and he's currently in 12month clothes. In fact in another month or so he'll out grow those because he fits them perfectly right now. They need another way of measuring size besides months.

How old is ur baby?  My daughter is in the 50th percentile for height and only the 10th percentile for weight and head size.

I agree about Gerber, I wonder if it has to do with shrinking? But Carter's seem to be right on and fit my baby when they say they will (for the most part)... I know! Its crazy and annoying! I have been waiting to put my daughter in some of these 6 month old things and they JUST fit her now ... like she might grow out of them soon! Yeah Gerber is very small! She JUST fits in the 3-6 months you have to stretch it out to get it to fit her....

Yes, I have the same problem. I have found that clothes by Gerber run very small. My 3 month old is almost too big for the 3-6 month onesies. I also have a newborn onesie that was too big until recently. I just have to try stuff on her and then sort it into piles that fit and piles that are still too big. They should be by pounds instead of months since babies vary greatly in size :).
